These terms govern your use of OnTheTee ("the service"), operated by OnTheTee ("we", "us"). By creating an account or booking a tee time, you agree to them. If you're registering a club, you're agreeing on behalf of that club too.
OnTheTee is a partner brand owned and operated by HFB Global, Friesestraatweg 16, 9718 NG Groningen, Netherlands (KVK 82762201).
What OnTheTee is
OnTheTee is a booking platform that connects golf clubs with golfers. Clubs use it to manage their tee sheet, members, and payments; golfers use it to find and book tee times and pay online. We're a technology and payments platform — the golf course itself, including the course, facilities, and the round you play, is provided by the club, not by us.
Accounts
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us and for keeping your login secure. Clubs are responsible for keeping their tee sheet, pricing, and member records accurate and up to date.
Where OnTheTee is available
Clubs can register in any of the countries listed on our pricing page, which also shows the currency each country's subscription is billed in. The payment provider used for golfer bookings depends on the club's country (see below). We may add or remove supported countries over time.
Bookings and payments
When a golfer books a tee time, payment is taken online at the time of booking. For clubs in most supported countries this runs through Stripe, which pays the club's share directly to the club and our commission to us. For South African clubs it runs through PayFast (see below). In Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Lesotho and Eswatini, online booking payments are not yet available — clubs there can use the rest of the service and take payment directly from golfers in the meantime.
For South African bookings, payment is currently collected into OnTheTee's own merchant account and the club's share is reconciled and paid out to the club manually rather than split automatically at the time of payment.
Bookings a club records itself (by phone or at the counter) are not paid through OnTheTee and carry no commission — payment for those is arranged between the club and the golfer directly.
Cancellations, refunds, and no-show policies for a booking are set by the individual club, not by us — contact the club directly about a specific booking. Where a tee time becomes unavailable after payment (for example, a capacity conflict), we refund that payment in full.
Subscription plans and commission
Clubs pay for OnTheTee on the plan they choose — a free plan with usage limits and a higher commission per booking, or a paid monthly or annual subscription with a lower commission — as set out on our Pricing page, which we may update from time to time with notice. Subscriptions are billed in the currency shown for the club's country on that page. Paid plans renew automatically until cancelled. Subscription fees are not refundable, including for partial billing periods or unused time. Cancelling a paid plan keeps its benefits until the end of the current billing period you've already paid for, after which it ends and the club moves to the free plan.
Commission on golfer membership fees a club collects online through OnTheTee is charged separately at a flat rate for every club, regardless of plan, as set out on the pricing page. Membership fees a club collects by bank transfer or its own debit order carry no commission, since that money never passes through us.
Acceptable use
Don't use OnTheTee to make bookings you don't intend to honour, to attempt to circumvent our commission on a booking, to interfere with the service, or to access another club's or golfer's data without permission.
Liability
We work to keep the service accurate and available, but we don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We aren't responsible for the condition of a golf course, the conduct of a club or its staff, or disputes between a golfer and a club about a round of golf itself — our role is the booking and payment, not the golf. To the extent permitted by law, our liability to you is limited to the amount of the booking or subscription fee in question.
Termination and suspension
You can close your account at any time. Golfers can delete their own account from My account; see our Privacy Policy for how that works and what we keep.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms or that we reasonably believe is fraudulent. We may also deactivate a club's public listing — which hides its booking and membership pages from golfers while leaving its data and staff access intact — for reasons including non-payment or an unresolved dispute.
Changes to these terms
We'll update this page if these terms change, and update the date at the top. Continuing to use OnTheTee after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, where HFB Global, which owns and operates OnTheTee, is established.
